ever since i start work, i learnt many many things. being a proficient blood sucker (taking bloods la), being extremely tactful, learning how to communicate with a russian patient, being assertive and make myself heard during rounds, the types of chemo ..... etcetc besides ALL of that, i learnt the power of lotions, the importance of breakfast, the art of looking fresh when you're on AM shift (and esp from PM shift the pervious day. sheesh) and to strategies to get a freaking seat when you're on the way home. out of all, im having this growing obsession for lotions. from head to toe lotion/moisturizers. i religiously apply them every day after the second week i start work. my skin was super dry and cracked and urghhh. even worse cos im in an air-con ward. so, no good for me yo. i invest in a good eye mask too. these are my essentials to start and end the day. a gooooood hot milo/teh in the morning and bread/cereal. yum yum. kawan nelayan is definitely my best friend. see what working shifts can do to you. tsktsk. ok maybe not all of you, just me =p in NUH there's this bazaar thing every last thurs and fri of the month. so, we were walking around the bazaar, and we saw this name sticker shop thing. and i got one set for myself toooo!! theres ALOT of designs, and i chose this cartoon (Dough Dough. dont ask, i also dono what character is that). so cute nak mampos! hee. if got design jason mraz's azmi's face, i would have gotten it, no doubt. doodeedoo. =) see what less social life do to me, buy name sticker only, got very excited. tomorrow movie marathon with my very own mcsteamy! cant wait, love!!! The key to being a successful intern is what we give up: sleep, friends, a normal life. We sacrifice it all for that one amazing moment, that moment when you can legally call yourself a surgeon. There are days that make the sacrifices seem worthwhile. And then there are the days where everything feels like a sacrifice. And then there are the sacrifices that you can’t even figure out why you're making.
A wise man once said – “You can have anything in life if you’re willing to sacrifice everything else for it.” What he meant is nothing comes without a price. So before you go into battle, you better decide how much you’re willing to lose. Too often going after what feels good means letting go of what you know is right. And letting someone in means abandoning the walls you’ve spent a lifetime building. Of course the toughest sacrifices are the ones we don’t see coming. When we don’t have time to come up with a strategy to pick sides….or to measure the potential loss. When that happens, when the battle chooses us, and not the other way around, that’s when the sacrifice can turn out to be more than we can bear.

wet toilet seats. i mean, for the ladies, its quiet hard to NOT aim it wrongly. by now, you should know, it's quite self explanatory. ok exception if you're using the squating method, that takes skill. HAA. but seriously, how on earth can you pee till u get the toilet seat wet? toilet seat, the part where your thighs rest on, yes, THAT part is wet whenever i enter the cubicle. some possibilities i thought of is ... 1. when it auto flush or you flush it, the water kinda splash a lil. but, still, how can you get that part of the toilet seat wet? 2. when you REALLY need to let go, in waterfall speed, it might get splashed too.. but i doubt the urine have a way to aim it in the side of the toilet seat. right? 3. it's just me. i apologise for those who feeling a lil squirmy and sick, but for the sake of the poor toilet seat, which have no other choice but to experience endless horrors of cellulite/stretch marks/forest-like caves/etc etc, could we spare them from getting splashes of our so-called, sterile contribution... kesian seh toilet seat. the question still stands on how on earth some users can get them wet. now, dont let me start with the overflow sanitary pad bins.

i realised my past 3 entires abt JCI. simply shows, how pathetic my days have been. haha! so anyway, for the past few days ive been going to work and back home, i meet weird people. im cool with it, cos i belive they are 'profound' beings. but what annoys me the most are, people who decide to share their private time in public. if you seriously NEED to do so, please please pleaseeee do it discreetly. and if you realised, it requires extensive maneuvers and techniques, please go to the nearest toilet/corner/wall/wherever you think ppl wont witness it. for goodness sake, prepare tissue lar. no, im not toking about ppl wanking (though it do happen -_-), im talking abt nose digging. wah, i make it sound like a career. seriously larrrrrr, if you're thinkin you're digging gold, god bless you. yes, use a tissue. cos if you dont, you'll wipe it on ur shirt/pants (urgh) or roll it den stick it somewhere. eeyerr. i sound so experience rite? cos ive witness it lar seeeehhhh. please keep the MRT and bus seats/rails booger (or whatever you can expel from your body) free. thank you.
